European Christian Political Movement MEP Peter van Dalen participated at the 5th Finnish National Prayer Breakfast together with ECPM’s Director for European Affairs Leo van Doesburg. The event was hosted by Finnish Foreign Affairs Minister Timo Soini. At the opening reception that took place the preceding day, Peter van Dalen talked about the importance of Christians speaking out about their values in public. Furthermore, he shared with participants greetings on behalf of the Prayer Group in the European Parliament. Foreign Minister Timo Soini spoke during the prayer breakfast about the protection of freedom of religion and belief around the world and ECPM Member and coordinator of the prayer breakfast Antero Laukkanen emphasized the importance of the prayer group and breakfast. Former ECPM president Peeter Östman co-chaired the event.
