ECPM and member party Familien Partei gathered in Billerbeck, Germany, on the 24th of September, where both ECPM President Valeriu Ghilețchi and Familien Partei leader and Member of Parliament Helmut Geuking were present.

Valeriu Ghilețchi spoke about the importance of Christian participation in society highlighting ECPM’s slogan- ELEVATE. EMPOWER. ENGAGE: “Christians are oftentimes ignored or discounted in the European political landscape. ECPM is here to elevate those voices, to empower our members and partners by offering trainings and workshops, by giving them tools and connecting them to an extensive network of like-minded people across Europe so that they can engage their communities and society”. He also thanked Mr. Geuking for being such a faithful ally in supporting human dignity, fair and social economic policies and for standing up for families and children’s rights.

Mr. Geuking presented all his recent initiatives in the European Parliament and called for more measures to support families on a national and European level. The presence of many members and friends of the Familien Partei gave the opportunity for a lively discussion with the speakers.
