Renewing Our Minds International Gathering 2023

You are invited to attend the 2023 Renewing Our Minds (ROM) gathering that will take place at Life Center in Crikvenica, Croatia, from Sunday June 25, 2023 to Thursday July 6, 2023. Please register here.

Renewing Our Minds (ROM) is a Southwest European project of change with a vision of a transformed leadership, inspired by the character and teachings of Jesus. Its mission is to develop leaders of integrity, committed to reconciliation, peace-building and healing social action; leaders who, renewed in their mind, character, attitudes and actions in the likeness of Jesus, are steadily transforming their constituencies, communities and country.

Following the Balkan Wars (1991-1995) in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, a group of young adults associated with Life Center International (LCI) from Croatia, gave birth to the international ROM movement. ROM was born in response to prevailing ethnic, religious, political and economic distress; and at a time when an emerging generation of leaders in the region lacked role models and a vision for the future of the post-war Balkan region. The first ROM gathering was launched in 1999 in the beautiful town of Fuzine in Croatia. Over the years, ROM has grown into an international family of friends that embraces young adults from 40 countries of the world. In 2011 ROM became part of a non-profit organization: Forum for Leadership and Reconciliation.

A ROM gathering is a journey that begins with the question: “Who or what is impacting your mind?” Over two weeks you are guided from one question to another, all of them probing you to go beyond the surface, deep into the themes and subjects that matter, are true, defining, dignifying and meaningful.

At this gathering you will meet an international team of leaders, mentors, speakers and facilitators; all persons of integrity with rich experience in politics, media, business, religion, education, and the arts. The program also includes small group activities, creative workshops, community service projects, excursions; as well as music, games, sports, recreation, time for relaxation and quiet reflection, and much more.

The entire program is conducted in English, therefore participants are required to have intermediate or advanced English skills. Program sessions will NOT be translated into the native languages of those attending. The price of participation, including full room and board and all other program expenses, is €500 per person. However, even though the price is already subsidized, ROM is offering those living in the Balkans (or other economically disadvantaged areas) a 50% discount. If you live in the EU (except the Balkan countries in the EU), US or other more economically advantaged countries, you will be asked to pay the full amount. If you have any questions or concerns about payment or scholarships, please contact the ROM team here.

Register HERE as soon as possible, since available spots are limited and suitable candidates are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be notified if you are selected to attend this year’s program, and you will receive additional information at that time.
